Joe McNally is a American photographer who use lots of lights technique in his photos. He says he keep on taking lights as a kind of language, lights have colour, tone, feeling and changing. Lights could make the scene shaper or smoother and also change the meaning of the scene. As a photographer, lights is very important and knowing how to use light to take photos is the most importantly to photographers.
In his photos, I can see that lights stand a very important part in contrasting these photo. Lights that use in these photos is expressing the feeling of the photo and bring out the emotion of the photo. I think the photographer use many different kind of lights technique in these photos as different kind of lighting is expressing different kind of emotion. I can feel the emotions of people in the photos, they are sad, scared and lose. Lighting is very important for all photographer thus I think I can learn many knowledge of different lighting from him as I was impress by his way of using light.
